I was approached by Wild by Design, a nature-first landscape design company, looking to take their company to the next level. They wanted a new logo and branding for their company.
The Problem
The company was in its early stages and needed a solid branding design that would help establish itself as a considerable force in the landscaping design world.
They wanted the branding to reflect their interests in bringing wildlife into people's gardens whilst simultaneously being professional-looking and flexible enough to be used across various applications. The client also wanted to stand out from the typical pale bright greens they felt were commonplace amongst their competitors.
The Solution
After presenting some mood boards and discussing the company it was clear that the client wanted to reflect the natural world they love working with in how the brand felt. Having expressed an interest in ferns I knew this had to feature in the logo somehow, finally settling on introducing it as the negative space at the bottom of a capital "W". Following on from this I introduced a strong but earthy colour pallet that was inspired by an image that one of the founders had taken whilst out on a walk.
The Process
This was a thoroughly enjoyable project to work on. Having a genuine interest in gardening and wildlife made it easy for me to understand the needs of the client.
