Farillio, a LawTech startup, provides document templates, resources, and legal support for small businesses. As their lead designer for over two years, I spearheaded a comprehensive overhaul of their digital platform, aiming to enhance user engagement and modernise their offering.
The Problem
Farillio faced significant challenges with user engagement and an outdated design system. The platform's aesthetic was lacklustre, leading to poor user retention and low renewal rates. The company needed to revitalise its digital presence to stay competitive in the fast-paced LawTech sector.
The Solution
My approach to solving Farillio's challenges was multifaceted. I began by enhancing the existing design system and creating adaptable white-labelled designs to improve flexibility. To address user engagement issues, I led workshops to gain insights directly from users. This informed the redesign of the dashboard, making it more intuitive and user-friendly.
I integrated AI features to modernise the platform and developed comprehensive onboarding tours to improve the user experience from the outset. Navigation and usability were key focus areas, ensuring users could easily access the resources they needed.
Throughout the process, I facilitated stakeholder workshops to ensure alignment with business goals. The result was a significant improvement in renewal rates and a more enjoyable, efficient user experience. This project underscored the critical importance of effective user onboarding in digital product design.
